FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to your appointment to check in and allow time to change into a robe. If you are new, this allows time for paperwork to be filled out and an orientation of our spa. You may begin and/or end your spa experience in our Relaxation Room, traditional sauna, eucalyptus steam rain shower with "revivify" Coco-Mango luxury products, tea and wellness library (with wi-fi).

2.

What is your age requirement?

Fusions Spa and Wellness is available for guests of all ages. For guests under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present in the room during the entire service. Guests ages 12 and under can receive services that are 30 minutes long or less. For all guests under the age of 18, a minor consent form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

3.

Where will my massage or facial take place?

Your massage or facial will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music will be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.

4.

Must I be completely undressed?

Most facials, massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session.

5.

What should I bring?

Robes, towels, and slippers are provided for all hour+ treatments. You may disrobe to your comfort level during your massage. Proper techniques are always used to protect your privacy and comfort. Swimsuits are allowed in sauna or salt room in lieu of robe or wrap. Please do not bring jewelry or other valuables, as we cannot guarantee the security of these items.

6.

What parts of my body will be massaged?

A typical full-body session will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck and shoulders. For clients who are experiencing pain whether due to stress or sore spots, you may request that the therapist concentrate on those areas. We are here to meet your wellness needs.

7.

What is the difference between Relaxation Massage and Deep Tissue Massage?

A Relaxation (Swedish) massage is given to help with increasing the flow of oxygen in the blood as well as releasing toxins from the body’s muscles. It can shorten the recovery time for a muscular strain.

Deep tissue massage helps with both small muscle injuries as well as chronic problems. Massage is an excellent way to deal with a whiplash injury or a sports injury. Deep tissue massage is helpful in treating spasms as well as muscle tension. The deep tissue massage is a more focused massage.

In order to decide whether a Swedish Massage or a Deep Tissue Massage is more appropriate for you, you must address exactly what you are expecting as a result of the massage. For example, if you are looking for an overall relaxing massage that eases the tension in your entire body, then perhaps a Relaxation Massage is what you’re needing. However, if you have a specific pain or tension that needs addressing, then a Deep Tissue Massage is probably the way to go!

8.

What form of payment do you take?

All major credit cards, cash, and/or gift certificate.

9.

What is Fusions Spa cancellation policy?

We understand emergencies happen. We appreciate notice when you cannot keep your appointments. We know you appreciate our therapist's time and will understand that canceled appointments with less than 24 hours notice, and clients who miss their appointments will be charged for the full scheduled service. If it is a member benefit service, the benefit is forfeited.

10.

What if I’m running late?

We regret that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled service time. Full services fees will apply.

11.

What is a customary gratuity?
